1. Introduction & Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to the YouTube API Services Terms of Service & Privacy Policy for StoryK.in ("StoryK", "we", "us", or "our"). StoryK is an AI-powered faceless video generation, scheduling, and multi-channel automation platform.

StoryK offers creators the ability to connect their YouTube Channels using Google OAuth 2.0 to upload, schedule, and publish user-created vertical Short videos and view upload confirmation statuses. This document outlines our data practices, permissions, security protocols, and compliance obligations regarding YouTube API Services.

2. Google OAuth 2.0 Scopes Requested & Minimum Access

To provide YouTube automation and publishing services, StoryK requests only the minimum necessary Google OAuth 2.0 permission scopes:

• https://www.googleapis.com/auth/youtube.upload (Upload YouTube Videos):
  Purpose: Enables StoryK to upload user-generated short-form vertical videos and metadata directly to your authorized YouTube channel, either on an immediate basis or based on automated time slots configured in your Creator Dashboard.
• https://www.googleapis.com/auth/youtube.readonly (View YouTube Account Information):
  Purpose: Allows StoryK to display your connected channel profile (channel name, channel ID, custom handle, and channel thumbnail) within your StoryK Social Automation Studio, and retrieve publication confirmation status and basic view counts.
• https://www.googleapis.com/auth/youtube.force-ssl (Manage YouTube Videos & Captions):
  Purpose: Enables StoryK to set video titles, descriptions, hashtags, tags, category IDs, and privacy states (Public, Unlisted, or Private) as configured by you, and update video metadata if you edit a scheduled post prior to publication.

3. YouTube Data Accessed, Collected & Stored

When you authorize StoryK to access your YouTube channel, we access and store only the following specific data points:

• Channel Identification: Your YouTube Channel ID, channel title, channel custom URL/handle, and public profile thumbnail picture.
• Video Metadata: Titles, descriptions, tags, category IDs, privacy visibility status (Public, Unlisted, Private), and video duration for videos scheduled or published via StoryK.
• Publication & Performance Status: YouTube Video ID, upload processing state (e.g. processed, rejected, uploaded), publication timestamp, and basic public view counts to display delivery confirmation on your schedule dashboard.
• OAuth Authentication Tokens: Encrypted Google OAuth 2.0 access tokens and refresh tokens required to maintain your authorized connection without requiring repetitive logins.

What We Do NOT Collect: StoryK NEVER accesses your personal Google emails, Google Drive files, search history, private comments, payment details, or any Google account information unrelated to your authorized YouTube channel.

4. Purpose of YouTube Data Processing

We process YouTube API data exclusively to deliver user-requested features:

1. Channel Integration: Connecting and verifying your YouTube Channel inside your private StoryK Creator Dashboard.
2. Automated & Scheduled Video Uploads: Rendering and uploading your AI-generated vertical Shorts according to your chosen posting frequency and schedule.
3. Metadata Assignment: Applying your chosen title, AI-generated viral hook description, hashtags, and privacy settings to your uploaded Shorts.
4. Delivery Verification: Confirming successful upload execution and displaying recent publication history in your Content Planner.

6. Strict Prohibition on Data Sale, Profiling & AI Model Training

In accordance with Google Developer Policies and our commitment to creator privacy:

• StoryK does NOT sell, rent, lease, trade, or transfer YouTube user data or Google credentials to third-party data brokers, advertising networks, or commercial entities under any circumstances.
• StoryK does NOT use YouTube user data or channel content for surveillance, credit assessment, or user profiling.
• StoryK does NOT use YouTube user content or videos to train, fine-tune, or develop public or commercial artificial intelligence, machine learning, or foundation models without explicit user consent.
• StoryK does NOT serve third-party targeted advertisements based on your YouTube channel content or viewing data.

7. Data Storage, Security & AES-256 Encryption

• Encrypted in Transit: All data exchanged between StoryK and Google/YouTube API servers is encrypted using modern TLS 1.3 / HTTPS transport encryption.
• Encrypted at Rest: All Google OAuth access and refresh tokens are encrypted at rest using AES-256 encryption with strict key management.
• API Data Retention Limit: StoryK strictly complies with YouTube API Services Developer Policies regarding data retention. Cached YouTube API data is refreshed regularly, and non-persistent metadata is never retained longer than 30 calendar days.

8. Revoking Access via Google Security Settings (User Control)

You have full autonomy over StoryK's access to your Google account. You may revoke StoryK's permissions at any time directly through Google's centralized account settings:

9. Disconnecting and Deleting YouTube Data Within StoryK

In addition to revoking access through Google, StoryK provides multiple immediate methods to delete your YouTube connection and associated data:

• Instant Disconnect in Dashboard: Go to your Creator Dashboard → Social Automation Tab, and click the red "Disconnect" button next to your YouTube channel. This instantly deletes your stored OAuth tokens and scheduled uploads from our active database.
• Automated Data Deletion Page: Submit an instant data deletion request at https://storyk.in/data-deletion.
• Email Request: Email our Data Protection Officer at support@storyk.in. All associated user data and task logs will be permanently expunged within 48 to 72 hours.

10. Community Guidelines & Copyright Responsibility

When publishing content to YouTube using StoryK:

• You remain solely responsible for ensuring that all uploaded videos comply with the YouTube Community Guidelines.
• You must respect third-party intellectual property and comply with YouTube Copyright Policies.
• StoryK does not claim ownership of videos uploaded to your channel. You retain full copyright and commercial monetization rights to your generated content.
